Frequently asked questions

Why do I have to paste a key for TikTok and Instagram?

Neither platform gives apps a way to start a live broadcast or hand out a stream key. The key comes from their own website, so you copy it from there. YouTube, Facebook and Twitch are one tap because they allow it.

Does “Check” prove my key works?

No. It only checks the format (not empty, no spaces, the URL starts with rtmp:// or rtmps://). The platform confirms the key when you actually go live.

Can I reuse a key?

Instagram keys work for one broadcast only and last about 5 hours. TikTok keys can change too. If a stream will not start, get a new key.

How do I end an Instagram live properly?

End it in both places: stop the stream in EasyStream, and click End live video in Instagram Live Producer. If the Instagram video freezes after you stop, end it from Live Producer. Instagram lives are limited to one hour.

Why does Instagram say my account is not eligible?

Live Producer needs a professional (Business or Creator) account. Third-party guides also say Instagram may require a public account with about 1,000 followers. If one account is refused, try another professional account.

Instagram will not connect. What should I check?

Use a Business or Creator account, not a personal one. If the app is still in testing, the account must be an approved tester. If you see “Invalid Request” or “Insufficient Developer Role”, contact us and include the exact words.

Will TikTok and Instagram comments show up in EasyStream?

Not yet. Chat from YouTube, Facebook and Twitch is combined in EasyStream. TikTok does not offer chat to apps, and Instagram comments are not built yet, so read those inside TikTok and Instagram.

What do viewers see when I share my screen?

Everything on your phone screen, including notifications. Close private apps first. Banking and payment apps appear black on purpose. Screen sharing is available on the Standard and Premium plans.

My stream still shows as live after I closed the app.

A red banner at the top of the app shows any running stream with an End button. Tap End. Streams that stop sending video are also ended automatically after a few minutes.

Still stuck?
